Problem with car charger

Hi,

The car charger for my XDAIIi and TomTom GPS has always been a bit 'dicky' and I just put it down to the cigarette socket in the car.

But I've just been away with a hire car and it's the same there. You put the adaptor in the socket and it just doesn't connect properly. If you fiddle with it you can sometimes get it to work but it takes a lot of fiddling.

Any suggestions?

You can buy a new car charger online quite cheaply (try ebay). However, if I was in your position I would try to borrow someone else’s charger first and plug it into the car and phone. You will then know for certain weather its your charger at fault or your phone. By the way, I just looked on ebay and you can buy one for around £3.49.
