Can anyone please advise me whether speed camera downloads are available for the Sony NVU70TC?

Kinda sorta. You can use the ones here, but you have to run another product on the Sony alongside the original Sony nav software to get them to work.

Hassle to set up but it does work well once you've done it. I wrote a long set of instructions on how to do it here, and a few people have done the job. It's called something like "POI Observer Full Instructions" from memory.

So in brief - yes, but it's a bit of a pain and you need to be at least a little bit techy. Worth it though.
