Hi, I seek urgent help on my garmin i3.

I aborted the map installation process by accident from my computer to i3. After that, when I intended to do it again, I found some error(sorry, i can not remeber that the exact error says) poped up and I disconnect i3 from my computer and closed it. After I opens it and do the installation process again, the process goes fine but my garmin i3 did not contain anything (state, street, map related information) , which I specified to be installed on the unit. I tried again and again and even updated my garmin software to 3.10 version. But the same problem stays. Could anyone help on that? Thanks a lot.

best bet would be to get in touch with garmin...

the uk i3's don't come with any map-loading software so we won't be much help... let us know how you get on though as other users could find it useful in the future!

what maps are you trying to load? It sounds like the index has failed! Has the map been unlocked? Please could you be more specific with your information

I use City Select North America NT v7. I have used the disc before and it has worked pretty well before. Also, I got a little memory about the error I got when I installed the map again. It says sth like disk is full. Not sure whether it is the micro sd's problem or the internal error of i3.

Are you sure its not giving you an error about the space on your hard drive and not the i3?

What space is free?

Hi, I can not remember it referes to hard disk or SD memory. I guess it probably means SD card memory is full. Not sure what had happened.

mr newbie..its now best to start right at the beginning, read and follow the intructions in the manual and it should work for you ...alternatively contact garmin via phone and they will talk you through the procedure..

Hi, I have tried all the possible ways indicated on the manual already. Another strange thing is that I can not clear all user setting by pressing back, wheel and power. I hold these for more than one minute. It didnot pops up the user dialog asking me whether I want to delete user setting as indicated in the manual. Quite frustrated with the reliability about this product. Also, I could never reach their custom service. You could calculate the waiting time until you get a chance to speak to them. I bet more than 3 hours.
