thinknavi cradle with ipaq rx1950

I am using a thinknavi cradle with an ipaq rx1950, and tomtom navigator 5.
Great combination, and everything works well (well almost, on 2 occasions nav 5 has lost its maps, and on checking the sd card, there have all vanished, however when checking thru xp pro, there are still some files but renamed with obscure characters).

I am told that the problem may be caused by using a "slow" sd card

However my main query is:
can anyone tell me if the thinknavi cradle that i am using (for rx1950) is compatible with any other ipaq PDA's as i would like to upgrade for greater memory capacity. Physical size could possibly be accomodated by the flexibilty of the side grips.
