Using Garmin i3 in Bulgaria

Can any one help?
First no Bulgarian map available for i3 at Garmin and I am going traveling around Bulgaria in 3 week.
I have tried deperately to use third party maps from Mapcentre!
The roadmap will up load staight into mapsource and then the i3. But i3 cannot use it!
I have tried to download a full topo map of Bulgaria, using cgpsmapper to convert to ESRI format, maproute to create generic routes and mapsource to load to i3 and !, the i3 sees the map in the setting but again cannot find places etc ? Any suggestions? other than leave it at home

have you talked to garmin re availability of maps mate..

Ok I only checked their maps and compatibility. I will try contacting see what there answer is!
