When is the actual gps posistion recorded when using POI Capture. Iam trying to record motorway camera locations as accurately as possible, but always seem to be a little out on location. Is it recorded when you press the capture icon or later in the sequence?
P.S. M4 is clearer than ever at moment, so is M5 from M4 to J21 |

I believe that the position is recorded when you first press the Capture Camera icon. Otherwise you could be a mile down the road before the details are entered. |

That is correct KenBruce. As soon as you press the POICapture Icon, you're position is recorded which gives you time to find somewhere safe to pull over and record the rest of the information. Another reason for moving the Icon to page 1 of your menu otherwise your fiddling through the pages trying to find it. _________________ Steve

Why not set up the "Warn When Near POI" function to give you an alert of the captured cameras, I find this quite useful for three reasons:
1/ You can avoid capturing the same loacation. (Not that this is a problem)
2/ You can see how accurate your capture was, as the position is replayed on the screen the next time you pass the same location.
3/ If the camera is not in the database (there is a first for everything) at least you will get a warning of that specific location.
