memory map problems with bluetooth gps

My dell x51v is working fine with tomtom 5, however i have installed memory map pocket. Although i can view the maps it will not recognise the gps. I am using a btgps74.
on totom gps settings it has
com3
bt uart on com 5
se???a?? ?a??d?? st??
com8
com7
it will only work on the middle setting with all the question marks

On memory map it just has a list of com 1 through to 9 and no reference to the above stting which works with tomtom
This is confusiong i know, but i would appreciate some help thanks.

Have a read through THIS as it details certain settings/ reg edit to get the x51v to work correctly with TomTom but the same will apply to Memory Map, read the entire thread first though - Mike
