It looks nicer than my Arkon but I can't find it on their website, the 29.95 one has longer arms. |

This looks interesting, as I just broke two lugs off my Vent mount cradle, and I never liked it much anyway.
On their web site they have an offer for iPaq owners that includes a 2 CF exp pack, as I have just purchased a 2215 I was thinking of just keeping my old 3630 for the car GPS. Am I right in thinking the exp pack for the 3700/3800 is different ie connector. Can anyone confirm?
Also I already have a combined power/gps connector cord for the 3630, would I still be able to use that with this mount?
I realise if I want to use the 2210 then I can't use (don't need) the exp pack.
Also any thoughts on Seidio stuff in general and 'better' mounts appreciated.
They seem to offer a good european delivery service.
Cheers

Was very keen to purchase one of these. Checked the site out and also spotted a powered multimedia mount for a reasonable price. Went through th emotions to purchase but was then horified at the shipping costs. In excess of $20 which was more than half the value of the item!
Does anyone know if any UK companies are going to import this mount? If not, looks like im off to purchase the arkcon equivalent.
Regards to all. Chris. |

Expansion Packs/Jackets share the same connector across the 36xx/37xx/38xx/39xx/54xx & 55xx range. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Darren thanks, I don't want to go off topic, so I'll try and keep it Seidio related.
For this accessory they have a special iPAQ offer to include a SeidioPak D-G1 for iPAQ 3700/3800 series (a 2 CF pack)
but a S-G1 is a single CF (compact flash) slot sleeve with rechargeable battery for the HP iPAQ 3600/3700/3800/3900/5100/5400/5500 Series
So I am not sure why the double 'appears' restricted to the 37/38.
I know that gomadic offer an interface adaptor to convert 31/36/37 accessories to work with 38/39/54.
I'm confused.
THanks

I have to admit I'm a little confused with that too! iPAQ Jacket's share a common connector across the 36/37/38/39/54 & 55xx range so I'm at a loss as to why they specify a restricted range of models that are compatible?
Certainly all HP's CF/PCMCIA Jackets are compatible across the range. if Seidio don't answer this specific thread then I'd suggest emailing them direct for an answer, I for one would be interested to hear the reasoning _________________ Darren Griffin |

I think the problem lies with the powered supply. I believe the jacket is compatable but the connector for the 36/37 is different to the 38/39 hence why gomadic sell a converter.
However it is confused by Seidio stating the 2CF jacket is for the 37/38.
I have mailed them but it may be from your comments they lurk here.
Cheers
