Why is it when I pan with Pocket Streets on a large map (2MB) the wait icon clock (hourglass on a PC) comes up and stays up for ever.

Even if I kill Pocket PC and restart, it now goes straight to the wait icon when I open that map again.

This happens even if I delete all the Pocket Streets Registry entries.

Ipaq 5550.

It's probably you are hitting a physical limit within the software. I haven't used Pocket Streets for several years, but I know I used to experience similar problems, and I had to keep the map sizes down to about a meg in size for it to be of any use.

The maps I have are downloads from Microsoft rather than self created from AutoRoute. One would have expected them to work.

In that case it may be down to the amount of RAM that you have available, if you have a lot of programs installed into main memory, or a lot of files synced to my documents, then this will eat up the available memory, and may be causing the problem.

My main memory has 47.75MB free for Storage and 42.15MB free for programs.

My storage card has 133MB free.
