Hi...
heres a good question....
here in the UK we use tend to use MPH - Miles - yards etc---- however the rule now here in the UK is MILES.... followed by Meters, CM, MM....
So theres 2 options on TOM TOM --- MPH - MILES - YARDS OR KM, METERS - (ie for turn left is meters rather than yards..
Is there any way i can set my TOM TOM up to display speed im MPH - distance in MPH - NEXT direction MILES but the final count down in METERS rather than yards????
Now theres a question!! or progamming to resolve it!!

Sorry, not possible with TomTom (or any other navigation program I know).
What you can do is replace the voice prompts. There is a file for "meters" and a file for "yards". If you replace the "yards" sound with the "meters" sound you get your desired result, even though it's not entirely correct since a yard is not exactly a meter.

I don't know which UK you live in, but the one where I live still has all road distances in imperial.
Distances to exits, distances from junctions etc. etc. - I don't actually think that I have ever seen any official signed distance anywhere in the UK which wasn't still imperial. |

your right there... however i would perfer it to state meters than yards as im in that age group where they decided to go metric....
we all know that roads signs, distance is still imperial but i perfer to use meters than yards....
just continue to use yards then...... |
