Navman 3450 Oddity

Bought my Navman 3450 package to use with my existing 3950 Ipaq last week. I have been generally pleased with the performance (especially pleased with the good TTFF), although having travelled the country extensively for the last 15 years I think I could do better than most of the routings the software has given me where familiar locations are concerned.

What is bugging me though is that it has twice (already) told me to leave a motorway, drive up the sliproad, over the roundabout and back down onto the carriageway again. This strikes me as an obvious bug in the software and I wondered if I was missing something somewhere as this seems so obvious that to fix it would be simple?

There have been quite a few reports of this type here, though I've never experienced it myself. Are you running the latest softwate patch for SmartST Pro (SP2)? Also, there is a firmware update for the 3450, although this has nothing to do with the software side.

Like most internet users I updated everything from the web before even using it for the first time :D

Seems a really daft bug if you ask me which could be cured with probably only a single line of code.

Maybe it thought there was a big jam on the carriageway at that point and decided it was quicker to detour via the overhead roundabout Rolling Eyes
