Can I convert .img/.png to .mps to load to mapsource/nuvi?

I found a free site at http://gps-maps.info/en/index/download but maps don't seem to load into Mapsource since maps seem to need to be .mps format. They are .img / .png

Can someone tell me how to convert garmin downloaded maps that come as .img / with a .png into the .mps format needed to get into mapsource and download to nuvi?
