Version 6.xxx for TomTom GO

I can't find reference to trying to install TomTom HOME and Version 6.xxx on the "GO" model. I understand you have to use HOME to install version 6 and I've seen worrying comments about the suitability of doing this on the "GO".

I'm using Version 5.202 (can't use 5.42 for obscure technical reason?).

Would somebody please direct me to where this subject relating to the "GO" has already been covered or advise me in this thread?

Version 6 was briefly available on the TT website, but they pulled it within a few hours because it was causing problems.
