Hi to all.
Can anyone help me? I'm stuck.
Had a disaster the weekend with my C710. I was dragging the map around with my finger and it froze up.
Thought no prob, do a 'soft' reset. That's when it all went a bit Pete Tong. Crying or Very sad
After the soft reset, I had the options to use MP3, picture viewer, calculator, Miomap etc. All the functions worked except Miomap. When I clicked on the Miomap icon all I got was a black screen with the backlight on.
Tried 'soft' reset many times and always the same result.
Tried a 'hard' reset and exactly the same.
Resorted to the DVD to reinstall Miomap v3.1 software. This worked, but then it told me 'no maps found'. Had to retransmit the maps too. (Must have been a pretty catastrophic software glitch).
All is now reinstalled, synced with Miosync for cameras.
Now, cameras are shown, but I do not get any audible warnings for camera positions no matter what setting I use for the audible warning eg whether I use the simple or when approaching options.

Tried tech support phone line, (you have to try these things at least once, don't you), the words handbrake & canoe spring to mind. They told me to resync. which I've already done but still no joy.
I know it's early days for a new model but now I'm really stuck.
Anyone got any ideas or me thinks it might have to go back.

CeeJay.

Hi to all.

Crisis over. :D
Seems to have sorted itself out after leaving the power switch at the bottom of the unit switched off for half an hour.
Tried it 3 times leaving it off for approx. 5 minutes at a time and that didn't work.
So there's one for the memory bank. Laughing

CeeJay.
