Updating Maps

Pardon me for asking what will seem like a silly question to the more savvy members but;;;;;;


When I update the software on my i3, does the mapping get updated too?

Recently when travelling along the new toll sections of the M6 my i3 was getting very confused - telling me to take turnings which no longer exist and ignoring some new ones.

If the software updates do not update the mapping what do I do? Am I stuck with an out of date system?

I have recently updated the software but have not been near the M6 since the update.

Can you advise me?

its only the firmaware that gets updated, not the maps...check to see what version you have ...should be v8..

The mapping for the M6 Toll road should all be correct with V8 mapping, I travel along it regularly and have not noticed any errors.

As far as I remember it was correct on V7 mapping as well.
