hi, first post here so sorry if this is in the wrong forum.

just 2 quetions for anybody that might be able to help.

i have just bought an Ipaq 2490 with tomtom 5 and a thinknavi powered gps cradle with speaker. it all works very well and was very hassle free. looks quite good too:

Question 1: i also have a nokia 6310 with bluetooth. can it be paired to the ipaq and use the ipaq with cradle as a handsfree kit. the speaker seems sufficiently loud and the microphone is quite sensitive. would the ipaq require some sort of audio gateway software installed to enable it to act as a handsfree kit? and would it integrate with the tomtom software like the tomtom 500?
this would be great if this could work as it would all be negate the need for a seperate handsfree kit, plus would just be nice to have it with the functionality of the tomtom handsfree.

Question 2: whenever the gps is active the radio in the car does not work. i have tried this in a few vehicles with the same results. why does this happen when gps is passive and can anything be done about it. when it is on there is just lots of interference and all that can be heard is fuzz.

well thanks for any help u can provide, if not no worries, hope u enjoyed the pic anyway.

1) This is not likely. Pocket PCs were never designed to be handsfree devices. Even the GOs are very lame at that.

2) Does the mount have a EC certification? Or FCC? If so then it shold not emit any stray raditation that would be strong enough to interfere with the radio. Your mount may be faulty. (And if it doesn't have the certification then it may be not entirely legal...). It's not the GPS that is the culprit, rather the amplifier.
