Hi,

I've heared of this problem. I think this has to do with the GPS driver. Do you use the latest version? If not, try the latest version.

Good luck
YB

If you have just downlaoded the latest TTN2 2.24 / GPS 2.08, then you need to go into REMOVE PROGRAMS and uninstall the TomTom ~ GPS, restart and it will be fine. This is covered in other message threads in the forum.

Dave, first of all you are not making much sense. You don't get reboots on a Pocket PC. A reboot is a soft reset. Are you saying that you can't power down the Pocket PC, or if you do it won't power on until you press the soft reset button ?

There were compatibliity problems with the Pocket PC locking up and not being able to power back on with TomTom Navigator 2 installed (with the newer Pocket PC's running WM2003), TomTom created a fudge fix, which is called the TomTom ~ GPS program in REMOVE PROGRAMS. This does fix the hanging but causes much more of a problem which doesn't allow any other GPS Application to talk to a Bluetooth GPS, because their program (TomTom ~ GPS) created a permanent connection to the Bluetooth stack blocking any other application from talking direct to the Bluetooth stack. By uninstalling this you will again have lockups if you do not exit TomTom Navigator 2 before switching the Pocket PC off. The best way is to exit TTN2 using the Exit button in the Navigator screen and this will do a clean shutdown of TomTom and shouldn't cause the lockups.

Uninstalling this should not cause any other problem apart from the lockups, and it has fixed 100% of the problems encountered, I have not heard of a single issue when uninstalling this driver, and we have it uninstalled on 5 Pocket PC's here.

If this isn't the case you are experiencing, please provide more information.
