IPAQ Losing power and resetting TT5

Hi

I have a HP5550, and TT5. After a week or so of no charge the IPAQ loses the TT5 install and I have to install the app again from the CD. This is OK when at home but not too good when on the road. Last week I had an issue where the IPAQ stopped charging at lost all power - I have now got it to charge again by pressing reset button.

Is there a way I can install the setup on my SD card (1GB) so that when it resets again I can re-install remotely - i.e. not have to connect and sync from PC. As all the maps etc are stored on SD card these are not lost and its only the app that needs to be installed again.

Any help would be much appreciated.

when you install the application activesync will then ask you if you want to install tot the default diecrtory at this point select no and then select storage card this will install the application to the sd card. after you have dont that if you have one pop the SD card in a card reader. open the sd card find the tomtom cab file right click it and then select properties and check read only then ok.

you should now be able to install the application while keeping the tomtom cab file on the sd card but you will loose any settings you had

by default pocket pc 2003 evices do loose everything when the battery goes flat so charge the pda once a week isnt really a lot to do in grand scheme of things.

newer device which use window mobile 2005 dont loose anything as they use a system similar to mobile phones so if the battery goes flat then you virtually loose nothing
