having just orderd the said device, where can i get some POI ?

i'm after usefull stuff like tesco locations, petrol stations, supermarkets etc... (and can i get POI's for france etc...) ?

most are done for TOMTOMS - is there a converter around to change them for NAVMANS ?

what are the POI's like which come with the device ?

The built-in POIs are standard TeleAtlas ones and are a bit hit and miss. They are the same as the standard TomTom (and every product that uses TA data) ones.

Click on my WWW button for Navman POIs. Oldboy also has Navman POIs on his webspace and Oldie has made a POI converter programme.

This is an excellent site for POI's. You have to register but it is free and they keep all the POI's up to date on a daily basis. You have to pay for Safety Camera POI's but all others are free once registered. The POI's work with Navman. You download a CSV and BMP file and load the CSV file exactly the same way as the ASF files from elsewhere.
