I have TTN 2, GPSAssist and have downloaded POCKET GPS SC (POI's)
I am not able to copy the two files onto my SD card. The 'Paste" option is not available.
Thanks in advanced.

In ActiveSync on the PC, click EXPLORE and browse to the Great Britain directory on your Storage Card. Then drag the files from your already open explorer window to the ActiveSync Explore window and this will copy them in.
If you're trying to copy | paste from a WinZip window or compressed window this may be stopping you doing this, and you may need to extract them to a directory on your hard disk first before copying them. |

Dave
Thanks a lot.
I tried doing what you suggested but unfortunately it won't work. I can copy the folder onto the GB directory (on the SD card) but it will not allow me to copy the ov2 and bmp files individually.
Somehow I did it before (a couple of days ago), but then GPSAssist wouldn't load the POI's onto TTN 2. So I deleted the files and tried to copy them again and here I am!!

I had this problem and I solved it by using the "extract all files" option.
You click on the zipped icon and you get the file appear. Then click on the extract all files option. Then you can just drag and drop the files you want from the window that opens. Works for me anyway.

I think Gary's right. Within some of the later OS's you have a ZIP built in so when you download the zip it opens like an explorer window seeming like it's a folder when it's not. If you try to copy from within a ZIP file (like in my previous message) to an ActiveSync window, this will fail.
Download the zip file, open it up, copy the files out to another directory on your hard drive that you have just created, then copy them from here to the Pocket PC and you should be fine. |
