hi ive added aload of poi from here but when i go into poi only 5icons are showing, can there be only 5 icons showing?

also how do i stop the poi showing up in the list that was allready installed on the 300, because i have double now, it came with petrol station in the list and ive added petrol all,i dont need both

i know if i go into manage poi then enable/disable poi it should stop them from showing up but its not?

There is a limit to the number of custom POI you can add to the device, dependent upon the TomTom version you are running the maximum is 39, if you have exceeded this total the device will simply refuse to display or use the additional ones, take a look at what you really need and consolidate the POI files. i.e. fuel stops, don't load one for each fuel supplier put the POI file on the device that contains them all (take a look at Richards web site - aka Oldboy http://myweb.tiscali.co.uk/oldboy/TomTomPOI/index.html for some decent data Wink )

Also the device was supplied was inbuilt POI files, these can be used but are not as upto date as the ones you can download, neither are they as accurate IMHO, the inbuilt POI files do not form part of the 39 limit, whiilst it is possible to modify the inbuilt POI file it not advisable to try this, licence issues are just one reason - Mike

What a contradiction in terms Laughing Laughing (sorry couldn't resist that), I would take a look at the files in GB map folder of the memory card, you need to look specifically for files with an extension of .ov2 (these are the POI files), decide which you want to keep and remove the others from the device/ card - Mike
