I'm considering buying the system below, from www.globalpositioningsystems.co.uk, but I'm not sure about compatibility issues, can anybody foresee any problems there may be?
I'm particularly concerned about the Universal PDA Powered mount with Integral speaker. Will this GPS receiver fit into this mount? Also, will it improve the sound out of the Ipaq 2210 (i read that the speaker for this is on the back) ?
Performance wise, how is the GPS receiver ?
Navigator 2 (Software & Maps of Great Britain)
Code: ttnav2gb £97.86 1 £97.86
HP iPAQ Pocket PC H2210 (Bluetooth)
Code: H2210 £263.79 1 £263.79
So far I have no complaints about any of the components or the company. I do find the 2210's speaker 'weak' though and suggest that the powered mount with speaker would be a good idea.
Unfortunately, as I ordered a Brodit mount before I recieved my bundle need to find an alternative method of speaker upgrade (suggestions anyone?).
You could learn from my mistake and get the same bundle, install it, use it and then upgrade cards, mounts, etc as you need to. This would work out no more expensive (the bundle is very well priced) and ensure you end up with what you want.
Also, I found the company very helpful on the phone and they might be able to help you with your queries concerning the mount.
