Use of other maps.

Daft question,but, can you use other GPS available maps with Tom Tom apart from their own ?Or can I use other maps with my GPS blue tooth without investing in further application costs...hope this makes sense, as I'm shortly going to take my TT to N America and would like the most cost effective way of obtaining a map of the West Coast for a 'one off' journey.

If you have a PDA then take a look at Mapopolis, last time I checked they do a 10 day trial version which is idea for short trips....

Don't think their maps will work with Tom Tom will they? AFAIK only TT maps will work with TT software.

No, the Mapopolis maps won't work with TT, you have to run Mapopolis.
