help with tom tom 300

Mate of mine as a 300 and when he put the speed cameras on the tom tom locked up and would not switch of unless he re set anyway he deleted the whole contents of his sd card and now all he gets is a red x on boot up can anyone tell me how to get this system running again please

Most important question is - Has he done a Full Backup?

If he hasn't, he has shot himself in the foot. Best bet is to find the receipt of purchase and contact TomTom for a replacement.

If he has done a Full Backup, Format the SD Card and Restore from the Backup.
