Locked traffic bar

Have a tomtom one, just went to use the traffic feature but my free subscription has ended so it would not update, fine. I have now got a the traffic bar on my screen the green circle in the top right corner has a big red cross trough it and I can’t get rid of it. When I go to the traffic menu to disable the traffic function which would normally remove the traffic bar from the right of the screen, it’s asking me for a user name and password. I don’t want to subscribe to the traffic updates, has any body got any idea how I can remove the traffic bar from the screen.

I had a very similar problem on my Go300 a couple of weeks ago. The advice I was given was to Restore Factory Settings from the menu. This did the trick, though several other things also disappeared at the same time (Home location, POI settings, etc).

We see you’re using an ad-blocker. We’re fine with that and won’t stop you visiting the site.
