|
|
Hi all
This is a problem I have struggled with I do some camping from time to time and am unable to put camp sites in to my i3 as favourites. I enter a post code but cannot enter a house number. What I have tried to do is just enter any number then select find nearby I can then select the camp site from a POI. Unfortunately when I do this the option is not there to set this as a favourite. Is there something I am missing here or is it not possible. If I try to set it directly by selecting find and then my camp site POI it only shows those that are local to my current or last known position. :x
Thanks for any help. _________________ LLAP James T |

You should use "cities" initially instead of "address" and put in the nearest town to where you want to go. Then use "Find Nearby" and search for the POI's as normal, it will give you the 50 nearest to the town you have set.
If you do not have a house number to match the postcode you are searching for use zero. It will point you to the geographical centre of that postcode which is OK for most purposes.

Yes I have done that but what I want to know is once I have found the POI I want why can I not save it as a favourite. For example I use a camp site at Beadnell that is listed in one of my POI files. Right I select an address nearby, then I choose 'Find Nearby' and it list the camp site. When I select it however the option to save as a favourite is not there _________________ LLAP James T |

once you are at the location, ie the entrance to the site press, and hold the scroll wheel.
this will then set the location in its memory and ask you if you wish to save as a fav.
select yes, make up a name for the location, and if ness even change the icon.
let me know how you get on |
