I have a Navigon GPS unit with TMC and Bluetooth and a TT PDA mount for my iPAQ 2210. I have already hard wired both to the car but would like to hard wire the GPS unit to TT mount, so that I do not have run the Bluetooth unit all the time. As Navigon is very heavy on the memory it will stop the occasional soft reset.

The Navigon has a PS2 socket and wired clockwise from the front
1 Red + 5 Volt
2 Green
3 Yellow
4 Not Connected
5 Not Connected
6 Black – Volt

The TT mount has an RJ11 plug these are wired, numbering from the left looking from the back of the plug with the clip at the top:
1, +V power to GPS
2, RX, data from GPS
3, TX, data to GPS
4, Common ground

Can anybody tell me which the green and yellow wire should be connected to and if it‘ll work.
Both the 5 volt supply will not be connected as these are to supply either a PDA or GPS with power but would the ground need to connected.
Rolling Eyes
Cheers
David

Why don't you want to connect the +5V wires? Are you powering the BT receiver from some other source?

The RxD/TxD is trial and error - you can't break anything by swapping the wires, just try it out.
