Today my I3 died. Powered itself of, I turned it back on and it went into searching for satelite mode.
Where it remained all day, some ten hours.
Tried the hard reset several time with no joy.
Any idea's what next, apart from going back to PC World for I3 number 3?

Garmin support USED TO be excellent but has gone downhill recently, they now state when you send an email that it will take upto 10 days for a reply . Today is my 10th day and still no response

I'd be interested in any comparisons you could make, seeing as how you have owned and used both.

I own an I3 and a friend has the 'ONE' and my partner has the GO. The one is a lot better than the i3, seems faster and the screen is a lot easier to read. The I3 is great at getting you to your destination but the One just seems better at it. If you have the money then the One is what i'd choose now (£239 at Comet) but if you get the I3 you won't be disapointed.
Best way I can explain it anyway.
Andy.

controls on the one seem to be more intuative. by far and away better built, and at only an extra £40 over the I3, something of a bargin. Whole ownership thing seems to be better.packaging is quality, website is easier to navigate round, locks on to the skybird far easier than the I3, even got reception in my house.
I would like to make it clear, Im not slagging the I3, both the ones I have had have been extremely useful and got me out of several tight spots, just had several niggles with both of them. First one was V8 and after heavey postcode finding, it refused to go to new postcode when entered and went back to previous one, then the powerlead died.
Second one was V7, it also to a lesser extent had postcode problem and was also fond of powering itself off usually when i needed it the most. It took ages to find the skybird, but its best was losing it totally when joining the M25 from the M4 last week.
