SONY NAV U SAT NAV?

I'V just been offered to buy the above product, but i don't know very much about sat nav, i was hoping someone would advise me, could i buy extra maps for America or other countries etc, is the above product reliable, any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

i have 1 available. Nice bit of kit.. cant seem to find a way to put tomtom on though. Expect sony build quality. In car kit is better than most PDA's i have seen. How much you been offered it for?
