Have iPAQ, have Garmin III what SW do I need?

OK I have an iPAQ 3870 and have just inherited a Garmin III+.

I have looked up the web sites and see that I can connect the two. So I can buy a cable - and then?????
What do I need for my iPAQ to make the thing useful? I presume some kind of mapp program that will take the GPS position and do the rest.

Can anybody recommend a program with maps of UK/Ireland?

Steveo, goto PC-Mobile and search for GRQ38 on the page. This is what you'll need. If you want to be able to power the iPAQ to say use it in car, then you need to go here and search for GRQ38P.

You will then need to purchase GPS Software/Maps depending on what type of use you want it for.

Maps of Ireland is pretty much a no no, CoPilot and Navman I believe offer limited support (major roads only and a couple of cities). GB wise, TomTom Navigator 2 or CoPilot Live.
