Stuck Nebbie with new SD card and Garmin C310 question.

Hiya, having searched for many an hour I find myself asking a newbie question.
I have purchased a kingston 512 MB SD card to protect my orignal.
Q. How do I get the original data to the new disk, have tried coping the data (explorer) but get the error - Cant locate maps on swithing on.
Have also been looking for mapsource beta but am unable to locate, anyone know where I can find?

as far as i know the c310 comes with the mapping already on a sd card and as with other 'card' garmin sat-navs the mapping data can be backedup onto the pc but can only be reloaded onto the original card for the mapping to work..mapsorce is a commercial program that has to be paided for...
