Some Questiosn Regarding TomTom Go's

Hi and welcome.

The new 510, 710 and 910 GO's are due on sale early May. Whilst most of the features may not be of interest to you, the new 'buddy' feature may. This allows someone else to track you and or send you messages. This may be useful given your occupation?

Another new features is route optimisation so you can input your drops for the day and have it plan the optimum route between them.

Our Safety Cameras are compatible with ALL versions including the new models. What is sometime not compatible is our POICapture application which allows you to 'record' camera sites for submission to us. However we're confident we will have a version suitable for the new GO's before they launch.

Older models will be upgradable to the latest version and this may include the 'buddy' feature and route optimisation so you may be better picking up a bargain now and upgrading later.

In explanation, new member Adrian posted a query and my response above was in answer to it.

We then had a problem with his account (he couldn't login) and were forced to delete and re-create it. As a result his post went along with it!

I'll ask Adrian to re-post his query so this thread makes some sense!
