Medion MDSP150 no sound in sat nav?

Hi sorry if this is a repeat - I have the smartphone MDSP150 all seems to work apart from I have no sound on the sat nav? Can anyone help? I read that you have to plug both connections in hard - I think that I have done that and someone said they had to turn on the volume on the handsfree speaker box - have turned the dial in both ways if that is turning in on?
