I am sat in my living room, planning a route from Le Havre to the Loire for later in the year. Options are Advanced Planning AtoB or Itinerary Planning. Given that I'm not in Le Havre right now, I chose Advanced Planning AtoB.
So I'm browsing the route, starting to make changes (want some toll roads but not all the way) when suddenly my TTG500 (GB Plus Map) starts massively recalculating the route. I realise that it has suddenly acquired a GPS fix, and now the route starts from my house, via Calais, to the Loire. Not what I wanted at all.
Tried various ways of forcing it to start from le Havre, but even itinerary planning says Navigate there now? i.e. starting from current position.
I bodged it in the end by wrapping the TTG in tinfoil to prevent a GPS fix, but surely there must be a more elegant way of doing it than this?

Any advice please ?
My 'solution' to this so far has been to set an itinery with my start point defined as a waypoint. It still calculates from here to there, but I get to play with the rest of the route if I need to. I then just delete/mark visited the first waypoint if I don't actually end up passing through it.
Of course, I've only had my TT1 for 2 weeks so this is only the solution I've found, not necessarily the best
