windscreen mount kit help

Hi There
i have just purchesed a window mount kit to fit into my second car, the problem i have is that i can power the TT 300 using the cable supplied, ie pluged into the cig lighter and into the back of the TT,
however it will not charge the TT if it is plugged into the docking shoe,

it works perfectly well in my other car, the only difference is that the windscreen mount came in the box with the TT.

the windscreen mount is a genuine TT but i have now tried two kits and have the problem with both,

i have emailed TT but they have not replied

any ideas would be appreciated
