the sound file is compiled into the linux bootloader code. Nothing you can do about that. _________________ Lutz

But (certainly on the Go range) doesn't the drum sound only happen on a cold boot (ie reset button, inserting the SD card or unplugging from the USB cable?
Switching on or off normally with the power button shouldn't do it. |

As Andy_P2002 said the TomTom One should only make this sound when you either do a reset or remove & then reinsert the sd card, under normal switch on & off their is no sound just your splashscreen shows. _________________ TomTom Go 910 (3) v.6.522 Map Western Europe v.650 with useless TMC receiver

As the others have said ..what are you doing to get the drums sound?
It only happens on a reboot or replace card, not a normal power on/off.

not sure....likely when i replace the sd card after editing pois on pc card reader....but regardless strange that i can't remove 'drums' altogether
even mobile phones have a startup tone that can be switched off
came across another angst.....
b4 updated firmware.......driving along cud see traffic lights icons/symbols(not speed camera ons) signs on my map....now since the update can't see these cute traffic signs anymore.......really liked them......can anyone help........please note these are not speed camera redlights but just plain traff. lights. |

No such sign by default, must have been a POI you loaded. _________________ Darren Griffin |
