How to return to the starting point

I was wondering if there is an easy way you can get back to the start of a journey ie do a reverse route. I realise that is you are going home it is easy but if you were on holiday & decided to go out for the day it would be very handy if did not know exacly where you were at the start.

yes before you set off hold down the scroll wheel and mark the place you want to get back to as a favourite call it what you want ie hotel villa so on hope this
