OPINIONS ON VIAMICHELIN

I HAVE BEEN USING VIAMICHELIN NAVIGATION EUROPE 3.0 ON COMPAQ ARMADA E500 LAPTOP ( PREFER BIGGER SCREEN ) . ALWAYS GOT TO DESTINATION USUAL ODD DIRECTIONS THOUGH,WRONG WAY UP ONE WAYS SILLY U TURNS ETC. IS VERSION 4.0 ANY BETTER . IS POSS TO ADD LOW BRIDGES AM DRIVING MERC 1823 4M HEIGHT UK AND EUROPE ANY INFO APPRECIATED

Version 4 still has the odd do a u turn and follow the roundabout when there is no roundabout. Sometimes when a road bends it can see the access road as a shorter route and will divert you down and back up the access roads.

It will not give you any low bridge info but if you are aware of a low bridge you can select bypass for the next x miles to find a route avoid it.

You could also record them as you find them as a POI and set warnings to avoid a second encounter, but other than that it will not assist in finding low bridges.

I have found a Low Bridge POI download at the following site:

You will need to use POIEdit to convert the file to an asc and if using Ver 3.3 or lower you will need to reduce the icon to 16 x 16.
