|
|
hi
does anyone know the difference between the USA maps purchased on sd and the ones dowloaded from tomtom
the download size is 1.4gb and i believe the sd card size is 1gb
i know you get canada as well but the download for canada is 129mb so something doesnt add up
also do you get a product code with the download or is it registered to your tomtom device code when you dowload like the voices are( my first tomtom went faulty and i had to use a 2nd activation code for the maps i had at the time and had to purchase sylvia again)
the price works out at about the same whatever way i do it but do you get more (or more up to date maps) by dowloading 1.4gb
many thanks

From memory the download comes with an install program and I believe TT email a Product Code (to be used at ttcode). _________________ Richard

The seven regions of the downloadable map overlap each other to some extent and you can't navigate across maps, whereas the 1Gb map is a single street-level map.
Also, the undividual maps will have POI data for each region compared to a single file for the SD card version. _________________ Tim |
