Hi All.
I've been badgering Navman about 7 digit postcode search and finally got a reply today.
They tell me that it will be available in SmartST 2006, :D but we've got to wait till June
Just thought you peeps might like to know.

This could be an update I'd go for. There have been odd places which have been difficult to find (try looking for Morecambe ) andI reckon this would make things easier. |

I just tried looking for Morecambe on my 520 with no problem. Going to centre of the area takes me to Central Drive in Morecambe.

To all
Ceejay said that Navman will introduce 7 digit postcodes in the 2006 update. I wonder how that will work on my 520 as since I loaded the latest 2005 update I now have zip codes where I used to have post codes?
TerryWalsh says his 520 finds Morecambe OK. So does mine but if I go to cetre of area mine shows Central Drive Middleton.

Sorry
I have found the problem with zip codes instead of post codes.
When the software was updated it defaulted to US English with a US female voice. I was not offered the chance to choose a language. Changing to UK English changed me back to post codes and the voice to UK female. Still not good but better than the US version IMHO. Would be better still if we could use other voices.

I'd just bought my 510 last year and a few days later needed to go to an address in Morecambe. It was listed under Middleton and I eventually used Autoroute to locate it (under Morecambe) and then via the display on the unit. I would have had little chance if I'd had been out in the car with just the Navman. |

After posting earlier that my 520 finds Central Drive in Morecambe and reading replies that this is actually located in Middleton I tried the same thing on Google maps. This gives exactly the same result. Since Google also use them I guess this means that once again the problem lies with Teleatlas maps rather than Navman.

Hiya
I had the same problem when i downloaded upgrade... but i went onto Startup and ticked "Language selection Screen". When it restarted i chose English Uk... and voila the UK voices were back.
