t mobile mda vario and bt77 com port problems

Hi,
Trying to run tt5 navigator on a t mobile mda vario with a bt77 receiver version 2. I am having problems getting the outgoing com port 6 on the mda. What is weird is that my friend has a bt77 (its maybe version 1) and I have no problems in connecting to that and it gives me an outgoing com port. Has anyone had a similar problem? when it was working on my friends receiver it was set to "other bluetooth gps" on TT5.

In TT try setting it using "ther NMEA" rather than "other BT". You may need to experiment a bit with Serial Port number and baud rate but it often does work (despite you actually using BT).

Thanks for that, still no luck though I'm afraid. What is weird is that when I click on "create an outgoing port" on the mda and then click on port 6 or port 7 (the only choices) it says "cannot create outgoing port, please check settings". Which settings I wonder!
