Guys please help. I'm at my wits end with this and I'm concerned I'm gonna hurt someone with the flying debris.
I have hard set my Ipaq 2210 and want to reinstall TT5, but the CD just does nothing when I stick it in my PC. I have tried clicking on the tom tom setup icon on the disc through explorer and it talls me its not a valid win32 file. Help me before i murder my wife and kids.

Why not download the latest version/ installer from TomTom try this link http://www.tomtom.com/support/index.php?Language=1&FID=3361 Then just click the download, if this doesn't work as its an exe file check your firewall settings on the PC. This will install TT5,21 on to your PDA, but you may find the voices missing, and possibly the postcodes, you should be able to install these from your application CD (unless its broken) - give is a try and give us an update, off to work - Mike

Where did you get the CD from? Is it a legit product or a copy? If latter then it has probably not been hacked properly

Guys
I tried the download and it reinstalled Activesync!!!
The CD is genuine TT5. But the installation window will not appear???
Is there a way of manually starting the istallation because autoplay isn't having any of it?

You need active sync on the pc to install, use Guest option to connect the PPC to the PC then try running TomTom.exe you downloaded - Mike

Mike
The CD is not running to install the application, i already had activesync but have reinstalled from the link you sent me. It says that the update needs TT5 installed. I have had the TT5 application installed previously with minor problems (Post codes etc) but had all been fixed thanx to you guys. Can you tell me why the CD wont run? I have installed the update which was the 2nd option on the link you sent me but how will this tell the CD to open the installation window? Sorry if I seem a little thick.

Glad to hear its all working, I would advise you to get some back-up software installed on the PDA (Sprite is what I use), then if you have to hard reset, or suffer a power fail you can restore everything without needing access to a PC - Mike
