Installing TT5 on O2 XDA Mini

Hi, had a look through some of the other posts on the topic....but what I'm getting is a desktop application error everytime I connect my XDA Mini to install TT5 from my original CD. I get through the first 2/3 screens on my desktop but when it tries to install on the XDA it crashes.

Because I don't have the TT5 app installed I don't seem to be able to get the upgade to 5.2 from the TomTom website.

If I transfer the files from the TT5 CD - which folders do I need?

Then I presume I download the upgrade and all should be well....

It was all working swimmingly on my T-Mobile MDA Compact...

OK did a proper search for the same issue....and found someone else's post. Copied cab files and ran on the XDA....installed perfectly and activated again through the TTonline site.

Just need to run the upgrade now.

You don't need it loaded to get the update it can be found on here http://www.tomtom.com/support/index.php?Language=1&FID=3361 just hit the download button, Glad to hear you got it going - Mike

Thanks - this download can be installed via the desktop to my XDA without an existing version of TT5 on the device?

I'll try it out....

When I tried installed in the upgrade over the the SD-installed version it pretty much knackered (technical Kiwi term) the application.

Soft reset the PDA and try again, if this fails at the removing previous version just use the remove programs option to get rid of the earlier version - Mike
