Using Tom Tom 5 on hp plam help needed

i'm using a hp rz 1710 plam with a kirrio gps cradle and bulit in gps anntna it worked fine with the via michelin software it came with but when i started using tom tom it cant find no gps device all the other software has been removed i'm also not sure which gps device to pick in tom tom options or even wot port it is plugged into its the long 1 on the bottom

Many of the kirrio GPS bundle work only with the mapping software provided, meaning you cannot use any other software.

oh bummer ok then wot do i need 2 get me hp plam to work with tom tom 5 gps antenna and cradle?
