I simply cannot get my head around the POI facilities of my ICN510.

I have 22 speed zoned camera POIs that I loaded via my PC. In 'MY Poi Files' they are all listed and ticked but do not detect any speed cams. If I set them as 'Active POIs' then they work fine but of course as stated in the manual, it then detects the cameras whether they are en-route or not - bearable, but not ideal. Does anyone know how this facility is supposed to work? I can't really see any value in having these POIs if they aren't set to 'active'.

Thanks

Ade

The Navman does not actually detect the safety cameras. The POI file just puts "pins in a map" and displays the "pin" as you encounter it on your journey.

The Navman can only cope with a limited number of "active" POI files at a time. So, you can load additional POI files, say MacDonalds Restaurants, Kart tracks, paintball centres, Wetherspoon pubs etc. But, if at the time you do not need them you can set them to Inactive. When you do need them, set them to Active, and set the ones you do not need to Inactive. The point is to just to save removing and replacing the POI files from the Navman.

Hi Nortonbeak

I wish my 520 worked like you described. Confused
Seems like I've got no hope as unit has been changed once already. Crying or Very sad and the fault persists.
No matter what I do, I cannot activate any files that were installed after the installation of file No.16.
I can activate and deactivate the first 16 files installed but there is no way on this earth I can activate file No.s 17 to 25, even with files 1-16 deactivated.
Been on to Navman and the words chocolate & teapot spring to mind. Crying or Very sad
Now given up with Navman and installed Tom Tom software on it.
(39 Active POI's, lovely jubbly). :D
I can now speed zone all my cameras which is was what I was hoping to do with the Navman. :D
