BT Problems with Fortuna Slim and Orange SPV m2000

I'm generally quite happy with the performance of the Fortuna Slim - it's far more sensitive than the Fortuna Clip-on I had before but from the start I've had this annoying problem - when my PDA goes into standby and the bluetooth connection between the devices is lost I have to turn off-on the GPS device before the PDA will connect to it again. I'm not sure if it's the PDA or the GPS device, though I don't think I had this problem with the Clip-on.

BTW, I forgot to add that I use TomTom Navigator 3.07
