POI (Safety Camera) Display Time & ETA problem

I upgraded to CP 6 yesterday and am generally pleased with the improvements. I have a couple of queries though. I have the ETA countdown problem that KenS has worked through in another thread (thanks Ken)and wonder if this would affect the time that a POI (Safety Camera) is displayed? I drove some 80 miles yesterday evening using a saved trip from my desktop - the ETA was spot on and updated very quickly when traffic slowed etc. Cameras were notified (@0.5 miles) and displayed for about 5 or 6 seconds as it was in CP5.

On the return journey I used a new trip to my home location i.e. unsaved and had the countdown problem but this time the camera notifications were displayed for about 30 seconds each time and it eventually gave up reporting them. (same route back so cameras were in the database and reported on outward journey) Anyone else seen this?

What determines the time a POI is displayed as it can mask the next turn directions if too long - I'm using .wav and not TTS so just get the "POI Ahead" message.
