I recently had a problem with the iCN 630 unit operating with ST2005 and V3 maps. As a result I re-formatted the A drive.

I have reloaded ST2005 and it will read any maps previously loaded on the SD cards but does not seem to let me relaod any new maps onto the unit or SD cards. Can anyone offer any help.

I don't understand your reference to the A drive. Is this the internal flash memory of the ICN, or the SD card or something else?

The ICN holds a copy of the product keys for the maps that are activated. If you have erased these, the desktop application will not let you load any maps from CD.
The desktop application has a menu command for retrieving the registration data from Navman. That operation may fix your problem.
