How to install and old City Map into a Nuvi

Hi, I'm quite "green" regarding the gps world and I would need your support. Yesterday I bought a Nuvi with Spain as a built in map. I have an old version of City Map that I used to install in my old Emap through a parallel port. The problem is that the City Map soft do not recognice the Nnuvi therefore I cant't thansfer the maps. I've tried copying directly the CityMap files into the Nuvi but it didn't work either. Does anybody knows how to get the City Map into the Nuvi? Thanks a lot
