nuvi 300 connection problem

Hi,are usb drivers required to connect the nuvi to a PC running win 98?I can;t find any ref to them but when my mate connects his he is asked for the location of the drivers.

XP does not require drivers.
I think that 98 SE is the version of 98 that has plug and play and supports usb, whereas plain 98 does not. If you have a reasonable spec PC it is well worth upgrading to XP.
